HEATHER BRENNAN ( CertHE, PG Dip Contemporary Therapeutic Counselling)
It can be transformative to talk through problems in times of crisis or emotional distress. Therapy is suitable for anyone who is grappling with life issues e.g. loss, illness, trauma, relationships, parenting, identity, which maybe affecting their well being and progress in their personal or professional life.
I offer a private, confidential, safe place to explore and help you to manage feelings and thoughts that maybe overwhelming, confusing or frightening. My therapy is from a psychodynamic training which provides opportunities to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and explore deep rooted beliefs and assumptions in order to resolve them. Together we can find your strengths, build on your confidence and self esteem enabling you to make choices where previously you may have felt there were none.
I have experience of working in the NHS, private and voluntary services and of working with a diverse client base. I comply with the BACP ethical and legal guidelines which includes undertaking regular supervision to ensure a good standard of care for my clients and a commitment to ongoing continued professional development.
I offer counselling in Kings Cross and Stanstead Abbotts, Herts to people over the age of 17 from any race, cultural background, or sexual orientation. Therapy can be either long-term or on a time limited basis according to the needs of each individual.
Sessions are booked on a set time and day each week and last for 50 minutes.
Charges are between £45 - £55 per session.
Initial assessment cost £25. Attending an initial assessment places you under no obligation to attend further sessions. Assessment allows us to consider whether therapy is suitable for your needs.
