Elizabeth Blaise

PG. Dipl. Psych. UKCP, MBACP
Integrative Psychotherapist & Counsellor
Clinical Supervisor

I am a UKCP accredited psychotherapist and a registered member of BACP. I hold a post-graduate Diploma in Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapy. I have also completed a Diploma in Adult Supervision and I provide group supervision within the NHS as well as supervising the work of individual therapists and counsellors.

I adhere to UKCP and BACP Code of Ethics, work in strict confidentiality and offer therapy as a safe, non-judgmental and empathic space in which you can talk in confidence about whatever is troubling you.

My approach is integrative, which means that I draw on a range of therapeutic modalities depending on your therapy needs. I often incorporate embodied mindfulness into sessions and can also include creative imagination techniques and working with dreams.

How we work together is part of the unfolding process of our therapeutic relationship and my foremost consideration is to adapt my approach to best serve you in gaining greater insight and finding a resolution to the issues or difficulties that you bring to therapy.

An initial session gives us the opportunity to see how we get along and explore together whether I might be the right sort of therapist for your needs. There is no commitment at this stage and you can go away and think about it or we can mutually agree to start working together and schedule our first few sessions. I offer:

short term, solution-focused counselling to help you manage current difficulties in healthier, more effective ways

long term, open-ended psychotherapy to support deep inner change or
deal with more complex, long-standing issues.

I have particular expertise and interest working in the following areas:

  • Anxiety and Depression
  • Self-worth, self-esteem and confidence
  • Relationship Difficulties
  • Addiction
  • Feeling Stuck
  • Self-destructive behaviours
  • Eating Disorders
  • Bereavement and Loss
  • Abuse and Trauma
  • Stress management and stress at work
  • Sexual orientation and identity issues
  • Life transitions, spirituality and meaning

My fee for an initial session is £65. Fees for on-going therapy/counselling range from £65 - £75 depending on the time of your appointment and this is something we can discuss during our first session.

If you feel that therapy or counselling would be beneficial in your current circumstances, please get in touch by phone or email to arrange an initial session. You can also read more about me and how I work at:
