Integrative Psychotherapist & Counsellor (MBACP)
I am an experienced, qualified psychotherapist and counselor and a registered member of BACP. I hold a post-graduate Diploma in Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapy. I also work as a clinical supervisor for St Barts NHS.
I adhere to BACP Code of Ethics, work in strict confidentiality and offer therapy as a safe, non-judgmental and empathic space in which you can talk in confidence about whatever is troubling you.
My approach is integrative, which means that I draw on a range of therapeutic modalities including psychodynamic, humanistic and person-centred, CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), existential and Jungian. I often incorporate embodied mindfulness into therapy sessions and, depending on how you like to work, can include creative imagination techniques.
How we work together is part of the unfolding process of our therapeutic relationship and my foremost consideration is to adapt my approach to best serve you in gaining greater insight and finding a resolution to the issues or difficulties that you bring to therapy.
An initial session gives us the opportunity to see how we get along and explore together whether I might be the right sort of therapist for your needs. There is no commitment at this stage and you can go away and think about it or we can mutually agree to start working together and schedule our first few sessions. I offer:
- short term, solution-focused counselling to help you manage current difficulties in healthier, more effective ways
- long term, open-ended psychotherapy to support deep inner change or deal with more complex, long-standing issues.
Clients contact my practice for many reasons and I have particular experience in the following areas:
- Relationship Difficulties
- Feeling Stuck
- Negative and destructive thought patterns
- Difficulty expressing feelings and emotions
- Bereavement and Loss
- Creative Blocks
- Self-esteem and self-confidence
- Abuse and Trauma
- Work-related issues
- Life stages and transitions
- Spirituality, meaning and life path
My fee for an initial session is £60. Fees for ongoing therapy/counselling range from £60 - £75 depending on time of appointment and this is something we can discuss during our first session.
If you feel that therapy or counseling would be beneficial in your current circumstances, please get in touch by phone or email to arrange an initial session.
You can also contact me for a no-obligation phone call in which to discuss in confidence your therapy needs and expectations and find out how therapy can help.
